Wellness Groups are group-based with shared participation and encouraged privacy
If you’re unsure which option is right for you, we can talk it through during a consultation.
Confidentiality, in Plain Terms
Therapy: fully confidential
Fitness classes: public; privacy cannot be guaranteed
Wellness Groups: privacy is encouraged, and each person chooses what they share

Below, you’ll find clear starting points and FAQs for each service—so you can focus on what matters most: your well-being.
Psychotherapy
I provide psychotherapy services using a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) system. This secure system is used to send and receive clinical documents—such as consent forms, privacy practices, and other required paperwork—and to coordinate appointments once care is established.
To begin psychotherapy services, please contact me directly by phone or email. Scheduling and required paperwork are completed after an initial conversation to ensure that services are a good fit.

Psychotherapy - FAQs
-
To begin, please contact me directly by phone or email. We’ll have an initial conversation to explore your needs, answer questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. If we decide to move forward, scheduling and required paperwork are completed securely through my HIPAA-compliant system.
-
Psychotherapy supports intentional decision-making and emotional awareness, helping individuals respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically to stress or fear. Sessions are supportive and non-judgmental, encouraging curiosity, self-compassion, and insight. Over time, this approach helps clients develop sustainable strategies for emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and long-term well-being.
-
Psychotherapy may be a good fit for adolescents, adults, and older adults who are seeking support with emotional challenges, life transitions, stress, relationships, or personal growth. Services are provided to individuals ages 12 through 80+, and care is tailored to each person’s needs, goals, and developmental stage.
-
Yes. Psychotherapy sessions are available both in person and via secure telehealth. Session format is discussed during the initial conversation and determined based on clinical appropriateness, client preference, and logistical considerations.
-
Psychotherapy services may be covered by insurance, depending on your plan. Accepted providers currently include UnitedHealthcare | Optum (UBH General, CCI Exchange), Oxford Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Connecticut, and Anthem Medicare. Approval is pending for Evernorth/Cigna, EmblemHealth, and Husky.
For private pay, fees are $150 for individual therapy and $180 for couples or family sessions. Payment is accepted via major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
-
Therapy and fitness are offered as separate services. While some individuals choose to participate in both, therapy always takes place in a private, confidential setting and does not occur within group fitness or movement classes.
Group fitness classes are not therapy spaces and may include participants who are not therapy clients. Participation in any service is optional, and personal boundaries and privacy are respected.
If you’re interested in how movement and therapy may complement your goals, this can be explored privately during a consultation.
Participation in fitness classes does not indicate that someone is a therapy client.
Fitness Instruction (ESSENTRICS®)
ESSENTRICS® Fitness Instruction focuses on strengthening, mobility, and flexibility through a dynamic, full-body workout suitable for women and men at every fitness level.
Before participating, clients complete a Personal Training Waiver / Agreement. To begin services, please contact me directly by phone or email. Scheduling and completion of the waiver are handled after an initial conversation to ensure a good fit.

ESSENTRICS® aligns with therapy-informed care by recognizing the connection between movement, nervous system regulation, and emotional well-being. Classes are supportive, adaptable, and non-judgmental—encouraging participants to move their bodies in ways that feel accessible and empowering.

ESSENTRICS® Fitness Instruction is appropriate for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Movements can be modified to support flexibility, strength, and mobility, making classes accessible whether you are new to movement, returning after time away, or looking for a mindful, full-body practice.

Group classes are currently offered on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7:30 AM, and Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 AM. Additional class times, individual instruction, and corporate or small-business sessions may also be available by request.
-
ESSENTRICS® Fitness Instruction may be offered through community-based settings such as recreation centers or senior centers, depending on availability and partnership opportunities. These classes are designed to be accessible, supportive, and adaptable to varying levels of mobility and experience.

Wellness Groups
Wellness Groups integrate counseling-informed support with movement to promote emotional regulation, connection, and overall well-being.
To express interest, please complete the Wellness Group Interest / Waitlist Form. This short form helps us understand your interest and notify you about current or upcoming groups. Submitting the form does not commit you to a group or establish a therapeutic relationship. You’ll be contacted if a group may be a good fit.

Wellness Groups - FAQs
-
No, not all Wellness Groups are considered group therapy. Some Wellness Groups are offered as group psychotherapy, while others are counseling-informed wellness groups that integrate movement and support but are not therapy. Each group is clearly identified in advance, including whether it is a psychotherapy service and what level of clinical care is provided.
-
Counseling provides insight, reflection, and direction, while movement supports emotional regulation and the release of stored tension. Together, they create an integrated experience that builds resilience, deepens connection, and supports lasting well-being. Wellness Groups are designed to offer structured support in a relational, embodied way.
-
Wellness Groups are designed for specific populations depending on the group focus, such as women, parents, couples, or adults in retirement. Each group description clearly outlines its intended audience, structure, and level of clinical involvement so participants can determine whether it is a good fit.
-
Wellness Groups are structured differently than Psychotherapy or Fitness Instruction. They are not always immediately available and often require thoughtful screening, timing, and group (cohort) formation to ensure a supportive and appropriate experience for everyone involved. Many groups are also interest-based rather than offered on demand. For these reasons, the Interest / Waitlist Form allows for clear expectation-setting and ethical coordination before any direct contact or scheduling occurs.
-
Wellness Groups vary in structure. Some are offered as group psychotherapy, while others are non-clinical, counseling-informed wellness groups. Each group is clearly identified in advance as clinical or non-clinical, including information about consent, confidentiality, and whether a therapeutic relationship is established.
-
Fees for Wellness Groups vary based on group type, duration, and clinical designation. For groups offered as psychotherapy, insurance coverage may apply and is verified prior to enrollment using the same accepted and pending providers listed for individual psychotherapy. Non-clinical wellness groups are not covered by insurance and are self-pay only.
Completion of the Wellness Group Interest / Waitlist Form is required to be notified of availability.
