Marcia Hughes Health Services was founded on the belief that true well-being begins with meaningful connection—to ourselves, to others, and to the world. Through supportive relationships, we create space to grow, heal, and thrive.
As a psychotherapist, I understand that beliefs, motivations, and experiences develop in the context of our lives. Through connection and collaboration, meaningful change is possible. I also recognize that emotional and physical health are deeply intertwined.
Movement has been a lifelong passion—running, yoga, CrossFit, functional exercise, snowshoeing, and daily activities like gardening or walking my dog. After discovering Essentrics® to relieve back, hip, and shoulder discomfort, I became passionate about sharing this practice with others.
Today, I integrate psychotherapy and Essentrics®, supporting mind-body connection for clients of all ages—from my 73-year-old sister to my 40-year-old daughter, a bodybuilder. Movement benefits people at every stage of life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut with a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies, with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families find balance, strength, and purpose. Through therapy and movement, I help people connect more deeply to themselves, feel stronger in mind and body, and experience greater freedom and well-being in everyday life.
